It has been just 3 days! Feeling a little sick n weary having tot of rushing down to lavender again to the old folks home?. hmmm...tempted to say yea. but it was truly meaningful and that the things we learnt are more than just knowledge. I would say this experience means a thousand pictures. hahas.
DO you know how TV reality show come to life, and the depleted house i saw practically sent me a huge sign'hai'. Firstly having a little irritated with the messy state of houses, erm imagine your room that is filled with 80's type of cardboard, dinning table n stuff, or having 30 over keys without the locks( then wat are these keys for) , with fresh bisket contained in rusty tin? tgt with bits n pieces of clothes that looked like the unwanted rags thrown on the floor. how about patches of red paints spattered at the door? O no, neverhteless.. these are the extreme few casez out of the hundreds unit we went to lah.
Ah ma. 2 ah ma in their 90's have leave something for us to learn too. The one i talk to to ystd, was a dream grandma mayb i would want. She had only spoken of good words of others( hard to find one now?), her children-like sincerity shown in her smile brightens mine life. but she's really duple stubborn..No matter wat, she made sure we can eat(jiat) something also. Den we went to her house upon her invitation. At her house, she insisted that we should eat something too. Mind you, she house has much lesser food than mine house..so can u all already imagine how little things she has? hahas... ok, She offered us plain bisket n all of us was forced to eat a lot . We burst out into laughter when daniel looking so pitiful telling the ah ma that he was full already. I tot she was sincere but more often than not we cant really accept her offers and her kindness. Forgetful she is, sturborn she is n the fact that we are not going to bring high hopes to her... we were told by our supervisor not to treat her so good... C life isn't abt always treating others good, it's abt how much you can afford to be nice.
